  • Why The Poor Will Remain Poor In Kenya

Why The Poor Will Remain Poor In Kenya

Getting rich in kenya if you come from a humble background is like climbing mount Everest without resources to facilitate the journey. It is close to impossible for a poor person to become rich in kenya.

    The root problem

In my observation, the leading problem affecting our economy is the lack of appropriate education.

    Failing education system

The education curriculum in Kenya and around the world is still built on traditional and outdated concepts that fail to impart its learners with the necessary knowledge and skills crucial to dealing with the fast pacing changing times within the contemporary society.

    Other problems

Many people will continue blaming the world but what we forget is that corruption is here to stay and corrupt people have and will remain being the order of the day. Main causes of poverty will not be eradicated by blaming the government. What is daunting is the fact that appointing leaders with integrity is not happening any soon in Kenya and Africa in general.

    Bad leadership in Kenya
    Bad leadership in Kenya

Yes, bad leadership is also a major problem as to why the poor continue suffering while the rich continue getting richer.

Forget what you learnt in school

As the subtitle suggests, forget what you learnt in school, its close to useless out here. Many people who failed in school are succeeding out here compared to those that passed with flying colors. Don’t get me wrong, its my observation and I’m certain you will second me. This is not to say that school wasn’t or isn’t important, what I meant is that many things that we were taught in class are not practical in the current world.

I earlier said that the educational curriculum in Kenya is not working since its built on traditional and conventional methods that are not practical. Many parents pressure their children to study with the hope that they will get decent jobs after graduating but that’s not the case. The rate of unemployment is very high in Kenya and that is why you will find many graduates in the streets doing jobs that they shouldn’t be doing.

Have you ever asked yourself why? For me its simple, people and especially the youth were fed with the notion of living a decent life has to come by being employed which shouldn’t be the case. Many people in kenya and especially graduates waste a lot of there time tarmacking hoping to be employed in a big company.

Things would have been quite better if people would have been told the truth. Education garnered from school is not the root of wealth or rather a good life. The only purpose of education was to inform, discipline, guide and provide exposure for networking. Education is not a ticket to a good employment. therefore, if you eliminate employment, you will find many graduates doing great things that they have never even thought of in the past.

  • Why Kenyan Music Industry Has Been Stagnating For a Long Time

Why Kenyan Music Industry Has Been Stagnating For a Long Time

Do you remember when Ogopa DJs recording label was still active in the Kenyan Music Industry? Do you remember when Calif Records came on board?, then there was real competition within the music industry.

I remember when Mr Lenny was the king of collabo popularly known for his memorable and soothing hooks. During the time, Kenyan music was very interesting and couldn’t even be compared with any music in the entire continent.

At the time, I used to turn on my radio, change my channel to KBC and listen to boomba train by Nameless and the late E-sir, man those songs were dope.

Where did things start going south?

Pointing a specific point in time when Kenyan music started losing originally, quality and creativity is not possible. However, we can try and identify the last good songs by Kenyan musicians.

Do you agree with me that the time when Grandpa came on board within the Kenyan Music Industry is when we reached the highest level Kenyan music has ever reached and its the time when the industry started taking a downside turn. Since the end of Grandpa records, Kenyan music has never been stable. Keep in mind this is my personal research and opinion thus not the opinions of Ctone Media as a whole.

    Why E-sir’s sound remains remarkable

Among Kenyan artists who have remained relevant for a long time even after their demise is Issah Mmari Wangui popularly known as E-sir.

    Why Sauti Sol Remains relevant

Pay close attention and youll not that the position that Sauti Sol holds within the music industry has never changed since they started off.

    Is Kenyan Music Industry Revivable?

    Yes it is.

  • Is There Such Thing As Mr. Right/Miss Right?

Is There Such Thing As Mr. Right/Miss Right?

A question should always have an answer and if it doesn’t then don’t trust it. This applies in everything, even Love and Relationships. Maybe the right ones don’t exist, what I’m sure of Mr. Right and Miss Right can be molded. Let’s be realistic, if there is Mr. Right and miss right, how do you know they are the ones

How many admirable relationships have had a bad ending that you’ve witnessed, I am sure they are many. So many that you might not even be able to count. If you doubting then ask around. Maybe, Mr. and Miss Right only exist for certain moments in life but not forever.

However, if you find yours and you live happily ever after, then consider it luck maybe fate or let’s say destiny, yes, people can be destined to be together forever but as we all know Mr. and miss right are supposed to be Romeo’s and Juliet’s people who are ready to die for you and will never wish to do anything bad to you but do they exist, if you say yes you are a liar, in fact a big LIAR.

Let’s take a different view, for instance there is Mr. Right or miss right, are you sure there are no others just like them only that you found him or her and failed to look further.

Every time you look further you will always find another Mr. or miss right trust me. It’s just that you chose this one but that doesn’t make them Mr. or miss right simply the right one. This is why I always say Love and Relationships are f***ed up if you excuse my language.

So, my advice is, when you find someone you thing is good for you, better them to fit your ideal Mr. or Miss Right. Bye. Leave your comment below.

  • Can Money Buy Happiness?

    Can Money Buy Happiness?

When asked the question “can money buy happiness?” many will hesitate before saying yes. Indeed, money has evolved into being something very valuable especially within the contemporary society. I mean, who doesn’t want to get rich? I want to be rich and I believe your feelings and mine regarding money are mutual. Recent studies have found a correlation between money and happiness. However, that is not all, a substantive body of research has also confirmed that money can raise the level of happiness to a certain point. Therefore, it is appropriate to not that even though money can buy happiness, it is appropriate to note that money cannot buy money entirely but only to a certain point.

When a person lands a deal worth a ton of money, they get excited and happiness is the outcome. Also, when your salary is raised, a smile is always expected meaning money has a direct correlation with happiness. However, concluding that money can buy happiness will be a subjective form of thinking and conclusion. This is a form of hasty generalization that many people have fallen victims. What many people fail to incorporate in their thinking is that money raises standards and with higher standards comes new and more responsibilities. Due to these additional responsibilities, money will always not be enough and that is why richest people are the ones waking up in the wee hours of the morning to look for more money.

Recently, the US Congress voted to pass the bill on stimulus. In March this year, the president, Joe Biden signed a stimulus package in an effort to mitigate the fallout from the COVID-19 and help the economy grow. According to an article by financial times, the stimulus package includes a new round of means tested direct payments of up to $1,400 for American adults, a weekly top up to $300 in federal unemployment benefits and $350 billion to help the state and local government and expanding tax credits for children.

Even though the bill passed, it is worth noting that it narrowly passed with 220 votes to 211. This denotes the fact that the debate on whether money can buy happiness is 50/50. It is entirely certain that the money is very helpful especially during the time of crisis. However, the republicans who voted against the bill were not entirely wrong considering the fact that the stimulus package can have long-term consequences to the economy due to the high spending.

Summing up, it is apparent that money is good as it eliminates or rather reduces a lot of problems. However, money is not the only source of happiness. Moreover, there are some things that are above money for instance chronic diseases, family, true friendship among others. Such things, cannot be bought with money but they also have significant impact to happiness.

  • Best strategies for avoiding Procrastination

    Best strategies for avoiding Procrastination

Procrastination is a prevalent issue that can befall everyone. It is defined as  the act of delaying or postponing tasks or actions until they become urgent or even impossible to do. Research shows that procrastination can lead to tension, anxiety, and poor performance. However, if you are looking for ways to eliminate proctrastination, These article outlines some of the best mechanisms that an individual can employ to mitigate frequent postponing of tasks. We will explore some useful tactics for preventing procrastination and getting things done by the end article.

    1. Come up with clear goals and priorities

One of the primary reasons people procrastinate is a lack of clear goals and priorities. It can be tough to stay focused and motivated if you don’t know what you want to achieve. As a result, it is critical to set defined and attainable goals for oneself. Create a list of everything you need to complete and prioritize chores according to priority and urgency.

    2. Break large tasks into smaller ones

Another reason individuals procrastinate is because chores may appear too difficult. It’s easy to put off a chore that seems too huge. Break the task down into smaller, more manageable chunks to avoid this. This will make the task seem less daunting and more manageable.

    3. Create a time management plan

A timetable can assist you in staying on track and avoiding procrastination. Organize your day or week ahead of time and assign certain tasks to specified periods.

    Sample Timetable

This will assist you in being focused and making the most of your time. Adobe has an online timetable maker software that can help you significantly to create a good time table to plan your day(s).

    4. List and eliminate common distractions

Procrastination is often caused by distractions. Social media, email, and other forms of online communication can be especially distracting. Eliminate or reduce these distractions to avoid procrastination. Turn off your phone, close any superfluous computer tabs, and make your office as silent as possible.

    5. Ensure you set deadlines

Deadlines can be an effective motivator. Giving yourself deadlines might help you keep focused and on track. Make sure your deadlines are reasonable and attainable, and then stick to them.

    6. Reward yourself for good performance

Lastly, it is critical to recognize and thank yourself for a job well done. Appreciate your achievements and take breaks when you need them. This will assist you in remaining motivated and avoiding burnout.

    Gift yourself

In conclusion, while procrastination is a difficult habit to change, it is not impossible. You may avoid procrastinating and achieve your goals by making clear goals and priorities, splitting things into smaller pieces, developing a timetable, removing distractions, setting deadlines, and rewarding yourself. Remember that staying focused, motivated, and consistent is essential.
