The HELB clearance certificate form is among the key documents to be presented when applying for any job opportunity. It does not matter whether or not you benefited from the student loan program; you will need to present the document. Ideally, employers in the country find it necessary to know how much they can entrust their employees with credit resources. The HELB clearance certificate serves as proof that your employer or other Credit Reference Bureau agencies can trust you.
HELB documents are classified into two: The HELB compliance certificate – This is for the beneficiaries of the higher education loan that are currently paying their due amounts. The HELB clearance certificate – This one, on the other hand, is issued to loan beneficiaries who are done repaying the loan or anyone who did not get the loan but just require the clearance document. Initially, one had to travel to Nairobi then visit Anniversary Towers if they needed any of the two crucial documents. But things changed for the better after the government started to offer accessible online service. Still, most of these centres may send you to the HELB head office.
