What I find hard is learning
That everything has an ending
Even the one thing I held so dear
Now shattered and left unbending
Acceptance seems so far away
I struggle with the pain of believing
That you’re gone and I’m alone everyday
How do I learn to let go, inviting a new beginning?
Do you remember how we used to giggle?
And dance, tiktok together, at night
I still feel your touch, soo gentle
Holding on hoping, to prevent
The thought of seeing you with another
Doing the things we did together
But that’s a lie, I shouldn’t ignore
The truth that our love failed, to endure
So for now, I’ll pause and surrender
Hoping time will bring healing and closure
Reaffirming to my broken heart
That indeed, everything has an ending
