  • Mammito Spills the Tea on Motherhood, Love, and Her New Comedy Show”

Mammito Spills the Tea on Motherhood, Love, and Her New Comedy Show”

It was all laughs and heartfelt moments on TV47 when comedian Mammito sat down with Betty Kyallo on Friday, December 6. The two bonded over motherhood, with Mammito sharing her experiences as she awaits the arrival of her baby.

The heavily pregnant comedian had Betty in stitches as she joked about pregnancy mood swings and other relatable symptoms. “You know those days you just cry because the sun is shining too bright? Or because someone looked at you too long? Pregnancy is a full-time job,” Mammito quipped, leaving Betty nodding in agreement.

Maandamano Baby: The Comedy Show Everyone’s Talking About

Mammito is gearing up for her upcoming comedy show on December 20, titled Maandamano Baby. And no, it’s not just about protests. “I’m so excited to share this part of my life with my fans,” Mammito shared. “I’ve been on stage since I was 18, cracking jokes about heartbreaks and Nairobi men. Now, I finally have a fresh topic—motherhood! Plus, maandamano has been a huge theme this year, so combining the two just felt perfect.”

Her enthusiasm for the show was infectious as she spoke about the journey leading up to this milestone. “This year has been a rollercoaster, and I can’t wait to laugh about it with everyone. It’s big for me, and I hope it’ll be big for my fans too.”

    On Her Mystery Baby Daddy

Of course, curiosity about her baby daddy came up—and Betty didn’t hold back. With her signature wit, Mammito dodged the question, offering just enough to keep fans guessing. “He’s someone’s son… a man… you know…” she added with a shy laugh, leaving Betty pressing for more.

“You’ve really kept him private, kama ile kitu!” Betty teased, referencing Mammito’s famously secretive love life.

Mammito agreed, saying, “In this Nairobi, you have to keep your relationship private. Otherwise, they’ll steal him! Imagine showing him off, and people start saying, ‘Oh, he doesn’t look good,’ or worse, ‘Let me try him!’ At 31, I don’t have time to start over—like, asking someone their favorite color? No, thanks!”

Betty couldn’t stop laughing as Mammito broke down the unspoken Kenyan rule: don’t expose your man unless you’re ready for competition. “Men are fragile! You let your guard down, and someone will swoop in,” Mammito joked.

When asked if her baby daddy might be Eddie Butita, her ex, Mammito quickly dismissed it. “That’s history! Four years ago is like four lifetimes. Let’s not dig up old stories.”

What We Know About “The One”

Mammito shared a few tidbits about her mystery man. “He’s not in the industry, and that’s what I love. I’ve dated within the industry before, and let’s just say, nilichomeka. This time, I wanted someone different—someone who doesn’t understand why I’m posting a silly meme at 3 a.m.”

The comedian gushed about how happy they are together. “Our relationship works because we’re in different worlds. He makes the money, and I make the jokes. As long as he keeps the cash flowing, I’m good!” she laughed.

As for marriage plans, Mammito is keeping things open. “Let me first give birth. We’ll cross the marriage bridge later. Nairobi marriage life… eish! One step at a time, Betty.”

    Why Fans Love Mammito

Mammito’s charm lies in her ability to balance humor and honesty. She doesn’t shy away from sharing her life—on her terms—and her fans love her for it. Whether she’s cracking jokes about heartbreak or celebrating her upcoming motherhood, Mammito’s authenticity shines through.

With Maandamano Baby just days away, fans can expect a show full of laughter, wit, and maybe a few more juicy hints about her mystery man. Don’t miss it!

  • How Savara of Sauti Sol Met His Wife, Yvonne Endo

How Savara of Sauti Sol Met His Wife, Yvonne Endo

Savara, one of the talented artists from Sauti Sol, recently sat down for an interview on Obinna Live with comedian and radio host Obinna. The two, who have been friends for years, had a lively conversation, reminiscing about old times. Savara even jokingly thanked Obinna’s team for helping him get to where he is today, playfully adding that Obinna used to struggle back in the day.

As the conversation flowed, the topic of love came up, and Obinna was quick to ask the Show You Off hitmaker how he met his wife, Yvonne Endo.

First Impressions Were Not in His Favor

You’d think that being a popular musician, Savara would have an easy time winning over the ladies. But when he first met Yvonne, things didn’t go as expected.

“Hakuwa ananilike, alikuwa anaona nikiwa wa kiherehere,” he revealed with a chuckle. (“She didn’t like me at first; she thought I was too hyper.”)

Savara explained that Yvonne initially judged him based on his flashy personality and his status as an artist, assuming he was a ladies’ man.

“Alikuwa anafikiria mimi ni mtu wa magaldem juu mimi ni msanii, lakini haikuwa ivo kumbe,” he shared. (“She thought I was a womanizer just because I’m an artist, but that wasn’t the case.”)

    A Hilarious First Encounter

Yvonne and Savara first met at a festival. At the time, Savara was feeling a little confident—perhaps helped by a few drinks—and decided to approach her. In a bold and humorous move, he introduced himself as a stripper.

“I told her that I was a stripper, and she just laughed,” he recalled, clearly amused by the memory.

Despite the rocky start, Savara was determined to keep in touch. He made sure to get Yvonne’s number, and by early 2018, the two had made things official.

    Keeping Their Love Private

For a while, the couple chose to keep their relationship away from the public eye, wanting to avoid unnecessary scrutiny. Over time, fans got glimpses of their love story, especially during Sol Family, the reality show that followed the lives of Sauti Sol and their Sol Generation proteges.

When asked about marriage, Savara made it clear that he doesn’t feel pressured to put a ring on it just because people expect him to.

“A ring is just a symbol of something. Kuna wale wako na rings huko nje lakini bado si happy,” he said. (“There are people with rings out there, but they’re still not happy.”)

    Who is Yvonne Endo?

Yvonne Endo is a Kenyan-Japanese artist and designer who grew up in Nairobi. Alongside her sister, she runs a luxury clothing brand. Despite Savara’s initial antics, Yvonne eventually saw beyond the celebrity persona and fell in love with the man behind the music.

Their love story is a reminder that first impressions aren’t everything—and that sometimes, a little humor and persistence go a long way!

  • Toxic Lyrikali: Everything You Want to Know About The Kayole Storyteller

Toxic Lyrikali: Everything You Want to Know About The Kayole Storyteller

When you think about Kenyan hip hop, the names that usually comes to mind are Khaligraph, Octopizzo and lately, Wakadinali.

However, it seems like we are on the brink of something fresh. New voices are popping up, but there is one voice that is like a wave, its changing things and shaking the industry, I am talking about Toxic Lyrikali. His name might be new to some, but his music hits hard with stories that feel like they come straight from Nairobi’s Eastlando; the grit, the grind, and the dreams all rolled into one.

Today, we are unpacking what the story of Toxic has, just like we did with the Amazing story of Zzero Sufuri, I believe todays story pia itakushika😂

So who exactly is Toxic Lyrikali? Where does his music come from, and why has he become such a voice for the youth of Kayole and beyond? Excuse yourself to a lonely place, and let’s take a walk through his journey; a story of hustle, honesty, and building something bigger than just music.

From Eastlands to the Mic: Toxic Lyrikali

Toxic Lyrikali wasn’t always destined for the music stage. Born and raised in Kayole, one of Nairobi’s toughest neighborhoods, his first love was football. Like many kids from his area, he dreamed of making it on the pitch. But high school brought a change. The rhythm of rap pulled him away from the field and into the studio.

Since he started in 2022, his sound has been deeply rooted in the realities of Eastlands life showing the struggles, the hopes, and the raw, unfiltered truth of growing up there. His lyrics don’t sugarcoat anything. They paint vivid pictures of hardship but also capture the spirit of a community that refuses to give up.

    A Voice That Breaks Through

If you were around in 2024, you’d have felt the impact of his breakout single, “Thugnificent.” The track slowly grew viral, fueled by TikTok creators who related to its story and energy. Before long, the music video racked up over a million views on YouTube, a milestone that still feels huge in the Kenyan music world.

But Toxic Lyrikali didn’t stop there. He followed up with “Cartman” and then “Chinje,” which blew up even bigger, todays Chinje has over 6 million views and counting. The video for “Chinje,” with its raw imagery and edgy tone, sparked debate, but it was exactly this realness that drew people in.

Jam to Chinje as we continue with the story of Toxic Lyrikali

More Than Just Music: Building Mboka Doba

One thing that sets Toxic Lyrikali apart is his vision beyond being a solo artist. Through his label, Mboka Doba which translates loosely to “money from music” in Sheng’ he’s creating a space for dancers, photographers, and other creatives from his neighborhood to thrive. It’s not just about him; it’s about lifting a whole community of young artists.

In interviews, he’s clear about this mission. “Kenye nimekuja kufanya tofauti ni kusupportiana kama mayouth,” he said, emphasizing the power of teamwork and community. For Toxic, music is just one piece of a bigger puzzle.

Nyashinski Co-signing Toxic Lyrikali’s Song “Cartman”

One major boost for Toxic Lyrikali came when Nyashinski, one of Kenya’s hip hop legends, co-signed his song “Cartman.” For those who know the industry, a co-sign from Nyashinski is like a strong vote of confidence. It showed that established artists are recognizing Toxic’s talent and gave his music even more credibility. That kind of support not only helps bring his music to new ears but also signals that Toxic is a serious player in the Kenyan hip hop scene.

So what does co signing mean?

In music, the term Co-signing means the public endorsement of another artist by an established artist or industry figure. It’s essentially a vouching for the talent or potential of another artist, often to a wider audience.

So When Nyashinski co-signs Toxic Lyrikali’s song “Cartman,” it means he’s publicly giving his stamp of approval to the track. Nyashinski is a respected heavyweight in Kenyan hip hop, so his support carries a lot of weight. By endorsing “Cartman,” he’s signaling to his fans and the wider music community that Toxic Lyrikali is an artist worth paying attention to. This kind of backing can open doors for Toxic, helping boost his credibility and reach. It’s a powerful nod from one established artist to a rising star, and it highlights how the Kenyan hip hop scene continues to support and uplift new talent.

Staying Real in a Flashy Industry

In a world where many artists chase glitz and glamour, Toxic Lyrikali stays grounded. His videos are shot in the streets where he grew up, often with his close crew by his side. It’s a raw look at the life he knows no fancy sets, no flashy distractions, chinje is the example, I just dropped the link for you above. This honesty resonates with Nairobi’s youth, who see him as a genuine voice for their realities.

He’s also open about the challenges that come with the grind. Fame is new but he keeps his feet on the ground, knowing his story is still being written.

Concluding: The Future of Toxic Lyrikali

Toxic Lyrikali’s journey is just getting started. His rise in 2024 signaled a shift in Kenyan hip hop scene, one that blends storytelling with street authenticity. With more singles and potential collaborations on the way, he’s poised to keep pushing boundaries and inspiring a new generation.

So next time you hear a track from Toxic Lyrikali, remember it’s more than music. It’s the sound of Kayole’s hustle, Nairobi’s struggles, and the spirit of a young artist who’s putting his whole neighborhood on his back.

  • Nasty Breakup: Ajib Gathoni Humiliated by Ex Josh Wonder over Cheating Allegations

Nasty Breakup: Ajib Gathoni Humiliated by Ex Josh Wonder over Cheating Allegations

Tiktok sensations Ajib Gathoni and Josh Wonder have taken the internet by storm after exposing their dirty linen in public.

In an Ig live,Josh wonder, Ajib Gathoni’s Ex-boyfriend told the public that Ajib cheated on him severally with multiple men.

This allegations did not sit well with the public considering the “perfect girlfriend” Ajib had displayed during their relationship.

Many were quick to trust Josh’s claim after he was interviewed by prominent content creator Eve Mungai and Nicholas Kioko, but others were skeptical of the one-sided version of the breakup events because Ajib had yet to narrate her side of the story.

Looking back on their two-year relationship, no one could have imagined the couple would go separate ways anytime soon.

    Ajib Gathoni

They greatly served relationship goals on TikTok by filming dance and lip-syncing videos together, leaving their admirers envious of the thrill of a fairytale love story the lovebirds portrayed.

Many online fans anticipated and expected the whole thing to be a clout-chasing ploy, but as it currently stands, they were wrong.

Just two weeks after Ajib revealed she and Josh were no longer together, it was only fair for the latter to come out and explain why they opted to part ways.

It began with a chronological recount of scenes from a TikTok live that quickly went viral.

Josh said that in the days leading up to the split, Ajib surreptitiously tried to have him evicted from their residence, which he paid rent for.

“Previously during the relationship I’m the one who used to oversee rent payment and other in-house necessities. At this time when things were going sour, person X decided to call the owner of the house, telling the owner, to change every piece of information in the tenant agreement from under my name to hers,” Josh asserted during the Tiktok live session.

He went on to describe how Gathoni attempted to get all documentation changed so that she would be the owner of the house and in charge of everything.

“This meant she wanted to take over the house so that she would have the authority to tell me to leave when it came down to that,” said Wonder.

He went on to say that his ex didn’t realize he didn’t include his girlfriend’s name in the lease agreements when he leased the house.

“She did not know that the house we were in did not have any of her details on them. The owner was very shocked. He told her, ‘I don’t even know who you are, first of all, and can I talk to Josh!’ and when the owner was talking to me I told him I also don’t know what is happening,” stated Josh.

Fortunately, Josh had been wise enough to ensure that the lease was in his name, with his brother named as the next of kin. on retrospect, he’s glad he “played it smart and made sure that the next of kin [indicated in any of his documents] is my brother.” I’d be homeless right now.”

Then, in a recent interview with Eve Mungai, Josh said that Ajib cheated on him with many guys, one of whom he claimed was a buddy who was unwilling to let go.

If Ajib cheated, it may have been because she was tired of her now ex-boyfriend and wanted to explore other options while still in the relationship. Perhaps the cost of leaving Josh felt too high at the moment, so she chose to leave the relationship. She hasn’t yet responded to Josh’s admission, which is odd given how unconcerned she appears.

Below are some of the comments from Tiktok fans who were quick to react on Josh and Ajib’s breakup

  • Is This Love? The Story of Will Smith & Jada Pinkett

Is This Love? The Story of Will Smith & Jada Pinkett

“I Hated That I Wasn’t What He Was In The World, I Suffered A Raging Jealousy”, Will Smith Shares His Feelings About Tupac Shakur

Will Smith is very honest about his jealousy feelings during the early stages of his relationship with Jada Pinkett Smith — and particularly how he felt toward her friendship with Tupac Shakur.

In an excerpt from his recently published memoir, Will Smith is “intensely jealous” of Tupac Shakur because of his position and his very close relationship with Jada Pinkett Smith. Within the last few weeks, Will Smith has been extremely open regarding his consistently talked about marriage to Jada Pinkett Smith.

If you didn’t know, Jada and Tupac — who was killed in a shooting in 1996 — shared an exceptionally close friendship. The two attended the Baltimore School for the Arts together and quickly became inseparable after connecting over their shared passion for theatrical arts.

Despite years of speculation around whether or not there was more to their friendship, both Jada and Tupac confirmed several times that things between them were platonic. In 2017, Jada revealed that she and Tupac had gotten into a “hardcore” fight before his death, and weren’t speaking when he was killed.

Keeping with that theme, this latest bit of information from Will involves his feelings about Tupac, specifically how he felt inadequate in comparison to him largely due to his tight bond with Jada, via @HipHopDX.

In a section of his book speaking about ‘Pac, Will admitted the following:

“In the beginning of our relationship, my mind was tortured by their connection. He was PAC! and I was me. I hated that I wasn’t what he was in the world, and I suffered a raging jealousy: I wanted Jada to look at me like that. If she chose me over Tupac, there was no way I could be a coward. I have rarely felt more validated… I was in a room with Tupac on multiple occasions, but I never spoke to him. The way Jada loved Pac rendered me incapable of being friends with him. I was too immature.”

Will writes that he felt jealous of Tupac’s “fearless passion” and “militant morality,” which he would compare to his own inability to stand up to his father — with whom Will shared a turbulent relationship, due to his father’s pattern of “violent” behavior and alcohol use. Will writes, he felt insecure and cowardly against the late rapper. What’s more, Will compares Tupac to his younger brother Harry, who would often stand up to their abusive father, noting that he felt inadequate in comparison to both.

[Tupac] was like Harry,” he writes. “[He] triggered the perception of myself as a coward. … I hated that I wasn’t what he was in the world, and I suffered a raging jealousy: I wanted Jada to look at me like that.”

This isn’t the first time that Will Smith has spoken about how he felt about Tupac.  Just last year, the actor admitted he could “never open up” around the late rapper, in a candid interview with The Breakfast Club. While promoting ‘Bad Boys 4 Life,’ Will explained “[Me and Tupac] had a little bit of a thing because [Tupac and Jada] grew up together, and they loved each other, but they never had a sexual relationship. But, they had come into that age where now that was a possibility, and then Jada was with me.

He continued, adding “Pac had a little thing on that, but she just loved him. Like, he was the image of perfection, but she was with The Fresh Prince.”

Despite the early days of jealousy, Will and Jada’s relationship progressed, and the two were married in 1997. Ever since, the Hollywood couple — who now share two children, Jaden, 23, and Willow, 20 — have been very open about their tumultuous relationship.

  • Sauti Sol’s Bien Breaks Down How He Will Spend His Ksh 50 Million

Sauti Sol’s Bien Breaks Down How He Will Spend His Ksh 50 Million

Over the years the music industry in Kenya has moved from just a source of entertainment for Kenyans to a source of income for artists as well. Sauti Sol lead vocalist Bien Aime Baraza has revealed how he will spend the Sh50 Million handed to him after being signed to Sol Generation.

Speaking to a journalist, Bien said that he will invest part of the money in the next female artiste Sol Generation will be signing come January 2022.

“I want to invest that money in the next female artiste that Sol Generation is going to sign. Sol Generation is signing a female artiste in January and she is going to be the biggest artiste in the world and the woman of the moment, so I’m looking forward to that day and I can’t wait,” Bien said.

On November 5, 2021, the Sauti Sol lead vocalist was unveiled as the newest Sol Generation signer, complete with a Sh 50 million deal.

What this deal means is that Sauti Sol is signed to Universal and Sol Generation is a label in which Sauti Sol is a director. Bien as an individual was not signed to any entity. I got offers from South Africa, Spain, London and New York.

As a businessman, I figured that it would not be proper to ask other artists to join Sol Generation if I’m also not willing to put myself on the table. When I sign to Sol Generation the value of the label goes up because of the pedigree of artist I am and the number of years I have put behind my craft,” he said.

The announcement coincided with the release of Bien’s new EP dubbed Bald Men Love Better, featuring the legendary pianist Aaron Rimbui.

The musician’s deal will last three years and comes just after Sauti Sol members launched their solo careers.

Sauti Sol as a group remains signed to Universal Music but Bien joined the Sol Generation roster as a solo artist.

He joins Bensoul and Nviiri The Storyteller who have been making waves in the music industry with songs like, Nairobi and Niko Sawa.

Bien also noted that currently the only Kenyan artiste he would wish to work with is Yaba.

“Kuwork na msee on a collaborative project at the tune of an Album si kama tu collabo za kawaida and ina demand msee akuwe committed to it as much as you are…kuna tu wasanii wenye ningependa kuwork nao na mmoja wao ni Yaba. Yaba is a very good artiste, na sai ako na album inaitwa Rhumbacane go an stream it,” he said.

The Sauti Sol lead singer also disclosed that the Sauti Sol band was preparing for a mega concert in December in Nairobi, which will provide the opportunity to perform the album Midnight Train to a live Kenyan audience for the first time.

There is a big announcement we are about to make, I can’t say the date here but in December we have the Midnight Train experience coming up and it will be the first time we will be playing the album on Kenyan soil, we are looking forward to that day heavy,” he said.

Speaking on the future of Sauti Sol following the launch of the members’ solo careers, the self-proclaimed leader of bald men in Kenya said that another album was in the offing, with the songs already recorded.
