Talent Pays: Sauti Sol’s Bien Aime Bags a 50 Million Record Deal

Talent pays, this is evident through the recent 50 million deal that Bien scooped. Bien Aime Barasa is a member of the legendary Kenyan band Sauti Sol.

This good news comes days after the four band members announced that they will be going solo in their music career.

From the record deal, Bien has released a solo EP project titled Bald Men Love Better featuring the popular pianist by the name Aaron Rimbui.

    Bien’s Monthly Salary

Quick calculations reveals that Bien will be earning a sum of 16, 667 million in a year which is 1.4 million per month. Believe it or not, that is nearly the amount that the Kenyan president Uhuru Kenyatta earns.

If you have a talent, this is proof that you can make a living out of your talent.

The deal that Bien has landed has been handled under sol generation meaning that the legendary soloist will be joining the likes of Bensol and Nviiri story teller.

    Bien: Press Release

It is crystal now that Sauti Sol have decided to take things a notch hire. From the press release given by sol generation’s management team, the manager noted:

“As a business, we have grown in the last two years. We were a record label but we are no longer a record label but a creative arts company.

“We are taking a Kenyan product and exporting it for global markets. We have two amazing artists, Bensoul and Nviiri and during the Covid-19 period, we took time and re-engineered how we do our business,” Said Sol Generation General Manager William Nanjero.

Sauti sol does not only have a record label now but rather a creative arts firm. During the press release, Bien added:

“We are all in each other’s art, and we are learning each other, to be individuals and supporting one another while at the same time we are giving you guys the best revolution of art I think Kenya has ever seen.

“This is a company that’s just growing and I’m happy that you guys are able to see Polycarp in his individuality. Polycarp is an amazing singer, he’s an amazing songwriter and an amazing song producer,” Said Bien.

If you have been kin, you’ld have realized that Polycarp (Fancy Fingers) who is the band’s instrumentalist has also released a classic song called “How I met your mother”.

The other two band members, Delvin and Chimano are yet to release their singles. A quick lesson from this great news is that talent, when used appropriately can be a lucrative source of income.

“Why I Only Date Married Men,” Aunty Boss’ Actress Silprosa Reveals

Sandra Dacha, popularly known as Silprosa in NTV’s show Aunty Boss has recently revealed through her Instagram page reasons why she is into married men.

According to her, married men are the only ones shooting shots at her. She noted that single men are afraid of her because they don’t meet her standards financially.

The plus size model has constantly asserted that she cannot date broke men, she is a queen and thus wants someone who will treat her like one.

Silprosa claims that she is always broke and thus wants someone with money since she cannot bring herself to supporting a man.

“I have never been in a position to support a man financially. I’m always the broke one in the relationship,” Claimed Sandra Dacha.

It is unfortunate that the people who are supposed to be celebrities are promoting immoral behaviors such as ‘gold-digging.’ However, everyone is entitled to their opinion and mine is just to report.

MUST READ: Abel Mutua’s Movie Makes Over Ksh 4M In Days!

I don’t think kuna cinema imekuwa na sales ka hizo

    Abel Mutua

For a long time, it has been said that Kenyans don’t support local filmmakers and that they are not willing to pay for content. Abel Mutua has proved this theory wrong after the release of his movie dubbed Grand Little Lie.

However, an emerging technology in the content creation industry is changing how Kenyans consume content in a way that is both beneficial to them and the creators.

Abel Mutua and Phillip Karanja recently launched a local film; Grand Little Lie but instead of uploading it on the known content distribution platforms, decided to use their own website.

Kenyans across the world were able to watch the Grand Little Lie film by just paying a one off fee of Sh200 without any subscriptions.

Five days after the Grand Little Lie was released on October 8, Abel Mutua said that over 20,000 Kenyans had bought the watch links to catch a glimpse of the action.

This is arguably the best reception a local film has achieved in recent years. If we were to assume each of the 20,000 plus people paid the minimum fee, this translated to more than Sh4 million.

I don’t think kuna sinema imekuwa na sales kama hizo,” Abel said in a recent live interaction with his fans on Instagram.

The team had initially set a target of 50,000 people and it might not take long to hit it, going by the reception. Grand Little Lie we must admit is doing pretty well!

In one of his episodes on YouTube, the filmmaker who recently won the Pulse Influencer Awards said that the money would be used in catering for the cost of production including paying the actors.

Who would have thought that Abel Mutua taking a poster of Grand Little Lie to the streets would make him millions just days after the release?

Here are some of the reactions from fans.

    courtesy of You Tube

Ctone Media agrees that Kenyans are now evolving! From not supporting local talent to getting local content creators millions in less than a week! Have you watched this film yet? If not, you should!

  • Tafuta Pesa Nanii: Vera Sidika Brags of How Much She Spent on Her Baby Shower

Tafuta Pesa Nanii: Vera Sidika Brags of How Much She Spent on Her Baby Shower

Kenya has celebrities, but if there is one who lives her life in style is none other than Vera Sidika.

The socialite cum business woman has been known for quite some time now to be a pacesetter, setting standards for her competitors and those looking up to her.

Eliminating Vera Sidika and Akothee on the list might be the end of our list for those celebrities whose lifestyle is envied by many.

The Theme of Vera Sidika’s Baby Shower was Pink

    How much Vera Sidika Spent

Recently, Vera held a baby shower party to which she claims through her Instagram page to have spent more than 800,000 Kenyan shillings, damn!!! Can Huddah Monroe even afford such??!

Spending more than 7200USD is not a common thing in Kenya. Even the Kenyatta family hasn’t done such a thing and if they have then we are not aware.

    https://ctonemedia.co.ke/how-vera-sidika-managed-to-keep-her-pregnancy-a-secret

Regardless of the fact that Sidika brags of how much she spent on her baby shower, some attendees maybe haters claim that there was not food for the guests. I don’t believe this but mine is not to judge but just informing.

Vera Sidika “Shikwekwe” is not known for keeping quite and this was her response.

    Vera Sidika responding to haters

These ladies, according to Vera, tried to tarnish her name once she realized she didn’t need any financial assistance with her event.

They the realized there was. Now went to make stories to make it look I am a begger. Begging people for money. Lmaooo

    Vera Sidika explaining herself

These ladies were apparently envious of her easy victory, which led to false allegations about her baby shower being held at Kevin Obia’s opulent home. Vera then went on to comment on her gram to the alleged detractors, saying:

100k abi? The same person that spends 60k on lunch at a five star restaurant in one day. The one you claim begged 100k for baby shower?

    Sidika wrote

The No. 1 Kenyan socialite then added

Are you mad? Did that baby shower look worth $1000? Do you even know how much I spent on the decor alone?

    Here is a screenshot just to prove;

Don’t panic if this is way out of your league, soon God is gonna bless you and spending Ksh. 800k might not be an issue. My advice is don’t fake it! stay true to yourself.

VIDEO: Kamene Goro And Andrew Kibe Tear Into Each Other In Latest Celebrity War

Andrew Kibe’s sentiments on various celebrities and how they should act is now haunting him after numerous savage comebacks from both his fans and Kenyan celebrities.

Most of his videos weren’t bugging anyone until recently; when he seemed to cross the line. To begin with, Kibe picked a ‘fight’ with Jalang’o over him supporting ‘Mtumba man’; who became an internet sensation for his creativity in cross-dressing while making his sales.

In a bitter war of words, both Jalang’o and Eric Omondi left no stone unturned about Kibe as they hit back at him for his endless criticisms.

However, Kibe did not stop after learning he has also been scolded over his views. In his latest dig at celebrities he took on various media personalities for keeping quiet and not speaking for the suffering Kenyans.

These guys, Eric Omondi, said nothing. Jalas said nothing, Kamene Goro, nothing. Betty Kyallo, nothing. Mamito, just showing us her tits. Njugush ni mehemehe tu. None of this motherf*s have opened their mouth to say that wakenya wananyanyaswa… Everybody is quiet.

    Fresh from picking fights with comedians Eric Omondi and Jalango, former radio host Andrew Kibe has now turned the gun on his ex-colleague Kamene Goro. In a frenzy of rage, Kamene Goro replied to Andrew Kibe as she commented on the video saying;

Me??? Surely?? Seems you stopped listening to radio since you left? Bro, keep current, don’t draw me into these rants of yours, respectfully. I am always on the front line.

    Kamene Goro

The duo who worked together at NRG radio before moving to Kiss 100 has grown a cold relationship since they departed ways at the Radio Africa-owned station.

In a recent Instagram Q&A, Kamene revealed that they are no longer friends despite their tight relationship as colleagues.

    We grew apart. Life happens

    She remarked.

And from the numerous comments, a good number of Kibe’s fans believe that the origin of his sentiments are not obscure while addressing these celebrities. Here are some of the comments from his Instagram page:

I Don’t See Any Bad A$$ Female Artist In Africa- Huddah Monroe Declares Interest In Becoming A Musician

    Huddah Monroe in Dubai

Kenyan socialite Huddah Monroe has announced that she’s interested in becoming a singer. The flamboyant actress shared her interest with her fans on Instagram; stating that she hasn’t seen tough female competitors in Africa in the music industry.

”Thinking of getting into music! Lol! I don’t see any bad ass female artists in Africa! Apart from like 5 I love.”

    huddahthebosschick instagram stories

Huddah has been in the music industry before through video vixening.

    Huddah In The Music Industry

Before she waltzed into the limelight officially in 2013 with her killer body and controversial stunts, Huddah started out as a video vixen in Profesa Eshuiya’s music video dubbed ‘Ukweli.’ She went ahead to feature in a couple more songs which saw her gain popularity.

courtesy of YouTube- Ukweli by Profesa Eshuiya

After gaining some recognition, Huddah featured in ‘Nimetoka Mbali’ by Jaguar featuring AY.

Huddah’s interest in music was probably expedited by the fact that she’s been in the musical scene.

Music is becoming one of the most well-paying forms of entertainment, and so is being a socialite, but is she really serious about this music gig? However, Huddah did not disclose what genre she would like to sing.

Her announcement comes just weeks after she also declared interest in politics; where she also shared on her Instagram stories.

”The first female president of Kenya. I still can. Coz only I can stop I”

My worry is, is Huddah clout-chasing about she wants to venture in? Or should we expect another bomb to be dropped on her Instagram stories again weeks from now? Maybe her next big idea will be joining the comedy industry, I know, right? Let us wait and see.

  • Must Read: Things Women Do Subconsciously That Make Men Cheat

Must Read: Things Women Do Subconsciously That Make Men Cheat

Man or woman, gay or straight—anyone can cheat. But why?

There are many reasons why people cheat in a relationship. Individuals sometimes cheat on their significant other due to the fact that they aren’t truly happy in the relationship. This can sometimes mean that they aren’t really in love and are looking for a way out. Let me start by acknowledging the fact that both men and women cheat, but today, our focus is entirely on men!

Do men know that cheating betrays their partner’s trust and breaks the promise of maintaining emotional and sexual exclusivity with them? If you ask what percentage of men cheat and what percentage of women cheat, it’s not surprising that men are 7 percent more likely to cheat than women are. And if you ask me, I’d say that statistics prove that men cheat more than women do, but it doesn’t mean that all men cheat. In as much as we want to blame the men for cheating, women play a part too.

Women are extremely sensitive beings and it’s emotionally traumatic when men cheat on them. They find themselves asking these questions, “Why did this happen?” “Why did he cheat?” “Where did I go wrong for him to cheat?” “Am I not enough?”

Well, I have some answers for you! Quite blaming yourself!

    1. Men cheat because of lack of maturity
    Courtesy of Free Stock images

Males, in general, will have a myriad of reasons as to why they engage in secret affairs. In my own perspective, I have noticed a common theme of emotional immaturity with those that act on the emotional and physical aspects of cheating.

Lacking the maturity to invest the time, commitment, and energy to work through core issues within their relationship is why men cheat, well, at least some of them.

Come to ask yourself, is your relationship really worth gambling?

    • Men cheat when they are made to feel inadequate.

Speaking from an African context, masculinity complex will always drive our men.

Men who cheat repeatedly are those who are repeatedly made to feel like they are less than, they seek to find someone that makes them feel like a priority.

In essence, they try to feel the void that their partner is not occupying. They seek attention outside the relationship because they feel inadequate, forgetting that it is a prominent sign of an emerging betrayal.

    • Men feel ashamed about their desire for pleasure thus cheating.

In as much as we don’t want to talk about it, sex does keep a man. And not just any sex, good sex. Remember how I told you ladies earlier that you play a part in the cheating? Let’s talk about how you get lazy in bed and don’t give out sex whenever and wherever he wants it. He wants it, he can’t force you to give it up, so why not find somewhere to get it?

I know that sounds ironic and like a cart-horse dilemma since many people become ashamed after getting caught cheating. But cheating behaviors are very often triggered by what they lack in the relationship.

    • Men cheat because they choose to.

Just like we say a man cannot be stolen, neither can he be made or forced to lust on other women. It is a choice they make with a clear conscience. There is no justified explanation as to why men cheat

    • Men cheat because they are selfish.

On the surface, there are many reasons why men cheat.

Such as: “Grass is greener,” feeling desired, the thrill of the conquest, feeling trapped, unhappiness, etc.  Underneath all those reasons and others, it is pretty simple, selfishness.

The selfishness that trumps commitment, the integrity of character and honoring another above self.

    • Men cheat for various reasons

First, we have to recognize that there is a difference between why do men cheat:

    • Variety
    • Boredom
    • The thrill of the hunt/danger of an affair
    • Some men have no idea why they are compelled to do it
    • No moral code for relationship
    • Inner drive/need for attention (need for attention exceeds normalcy)
    • The chemistry is gone
    • From an evolutionary perspective– they weren’t designed to be monogamous
    • It’s just skin on skin– just sex baby
    • Because they feel entitled/they can

At the end of the day, however, even if their spouse is intolerable at many levels, there are much better ways to address the issue.
