Why Waiting For S*x Until Marriage Is Outdated
You can have s*x in ways that are fulfilling, fun, good and generous, or you can have s*x in ways that are harmful, bad and dangerous. Marriage is not, and has never been, a way to protect against the harmful, bad and dangerous potential of s*x.
A few years back, a lot of teens were taking something called the “purity pledge”, wherein they vow not to have sex until they get married. That was why so many virgins were out here “staying pure” till marriage.

Well, it used to work back then but now, things have clearly changed. Sex is not just for married people, but also the couples that are just dating and practically anyone who is up for it. s*x is no longer for reproduction purposes thanks to family planning methods, its for bonding and also for fun.
Yes, I said fun! Dating is overrated, people are having flings and entanglements just for purely s*x with no strings attached. Hey, I’m all for people putting off s*x until they’re adults and can handle the ramifications, but let us be real, would you marry someone you have never been intimate with? Do you think it is important to have sex before marriage?
I think s*x before marriage is very important because it is part of the courtship. Marrying the devil you know we all agree is better than marrying the angel you don’t know. Back to the sex, you need to know what you are dealing with before walking into a marriage, those lasts forever! Here is what you need to know:
Sex itself.
Not everyone is great in bed, and most people don’t start out very good at all. A lot of good s*x is about listening to your partner and being able to respond accordingly. But how do you know if someone is a good listener or responder unless you try it first?
Size
Don’t you want to know if your husband is packing a hunting rifle or a tiny little plastic kid’s pistol? After all, he knows how big your boobs are. I’m not saying size would be a deal breaker, but don’t you have the right to know what’s down there?
Sexual issues
Sexual problems like premature ejaculation, inability to get an erection, or even an allergy to your partner’s semen are all possibilities, wouldn’t you rather deal with those issues before you’re married? This way you know if your future is even going to address them.
Let’s face it, sex plays a big role in marriage. Just like you should discuss children, religion, and where you both want to live before tying the knot, sex is too big a part of a relationship to leave to chance.
Is sex before marriage a sin biblically?
I have been told so many times that the bible says sex before marriage is a sin. However, when asked to provide exactly where this rule is listed in the Bible, the answer from many Christians is much less confident. My belief that premarital sex is sinful has been shattered.
So what is the truth about having sex outside of marriage?
The truth is that we are having the wrong conversation over and over again. In an attempt to justify what is believed to be common knowledge, we are pulling at any verse that has an inkling of resemblance to premarital sex. We are using these verses, devoid of their context and circumstance, in order to justify a belief that does not have much merit.
An important part about reading the Bible is understanding those circumstances under which it was written and how it can be applied to today’s society. What is written about sex before marriage in the Bible comes predominantly from the book of 1 Corinthians, written by Paul.
1 Corinthians 6:18-20 says “Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body’s a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”
This verse can be interpreted to mean that God is in control of our bodies. While it is undeniable that glorifying God through celibacy or through your body is a way to honor God, this verse is also getting at the submissive role of women at this time in the world.
We are having the wrong conversation. Marriage, in its traditional sense, is not the only covenant we are making with each other. Instead of asking ourselves, “Is it immoral to have sex before marriage?” we should be tailoring the question to fit our unique needs, which depend upon our individual circumstances and commitment to another person. Sex before marriage is not a sinful act.

You’ve probably seen Eric Omondi’s stunning photos after his body transformation months ago after he went on a serious work-out spree. The comedian has embarked on his epic gym work-outs after he realized that he was going back to his previous skinny physique.
It turns out that not all of Eric Omondi’s photos portray his true physique. His photographer confirms that he has done a couple of high-end photos for Eric Omondi. He adds that Eric pays him quite well for such enhanced photos (Ksh 100k) without minding the number of photos on the shoot.

Kapedo met Eric Omondi while he was broke and looking for a job to do. He was previously a poet in Churchill Raw, but he struggled after COVID-19 hit. He texted several celebrities; but his efforts ended in a cul de sac. It was only Eric Omondi who responded to him; and has been working with him for a while.
”Nilitextingi wasee wengi. But the person who responded ilikuwa ni Eric. Eric akaniambia alikuwa na project, ilikuwa about mental health… Nikamfanyia the first pictures. After kumtumia the same day jioni, akaniambia, bro umefanya ile kitu… From that day nilianza kuwa nampiga mapicha till now.”

There are many reasons why people cheat in a relationship. Individuals sometimes cheat on their significant other due to the fact that they aren’t truly happy in the relationship. This can sometimes mean that they aren’t really in love and are looking for a way out. Let me start by acknowledging the fact that both men and women cheat, but today, our focus is entirely on men!
Do men know that cheating betrays their partner’s trust and breaks the promise of maintaining emotional and sexual exclusivity with them? If you ask what percentage of men cheat and what percentage of women cheat, it’s not surprising that men are 7 percent more likely to cheat than women are. And if you ask me, I’d say that statistics prove that men cheat more than women do, but it doesn’t mean that all men cheat. In as much as we want to blame the men for cheating, women play a part too.
Women are extremely sensitive beings and it’s emotionally traumatic when men cheat on them. They find themselves asking these questions, “Why did this happen?” “Why did he cheat?” “Where did I go wrong for him to cheat?” “Am I not enough?”
Well, I have some answers for you! Quite blaming yourself!
1. Men cheat because of lack of maturity

Males, in general, will have a myriad of reasons as to why they engage in secret affairs. In my own perspective, I have noticed a common theme of emotional immaturity with those that act on the emotional and physical aspects of cheating.
Lacking the maturity to invest the time, commitment, and energy to work through core issues within their relationship is why men cheat, well, at least some of them.
Come to ask yourself, is your relationship really worth gambling?
- Men cheat when they are made to feel inadequate.
Speaking from an African context, masculinity complex will always drive our men.
Men who cheat repeatedly are those who are repeatedly made to feel like they are less than, they seek to find someone that makes them feel like a priority.
In essence, they try to feel the void that their partner is not occupying. They seek attention outside the relationship because they feel inadequate, forgetting that it is a prominent sign of an emerging betrayal.
- Men feel ashamed about their desire for pleasure thus cheating.
In as much as we don’t want to talk about it, sex does keep a man. And not just any sex, good sex. Remember how I told you ladies earlier that you play a part in the cheating? Let’s talk about how you get lazy in bed and don’t give out sex whenever and wherever he wants it. He wants it, he can’t force you to give it up, so why not find somewhere to get it?
I know that sounds ironic and like a cart-horse dilemma since many people become ashamed after getting caught cheating. But cheating behaviors are very often triggered by what they lack in the relationship.
- Men cheat because they choose to.
Just like we say a man cannot be stolen, neither can he be made or forced to lust on other women. It is a choice they make with a clear conscience. There is no justified explanation as to why men cheat
- Men cheat because they are selfish.
On the surface, there are many reasons why men cheat.
Such as: “Grass is greener,” feeling desired, the thrill of the conquest, feeling trapped, unhappiness, etc. Underneath all those reasons and others, it is pretty simple, selfishness.
The selfishness that trumps commitment, the integrity of character and honoring another above self.
- Men cheat for various reasons
First, we have to recognize that there is a difference between why do men cheat:
- Variety
- Boredom
- The thrill of the hunt/danger of an affair
- Some men have no idea why they are compelled to do it
- No moral code for relationship
- Inner drive/need for attention (need for attention exceeds normalcy)
- The chemistry is gone
- From an evolutionary perspective– they weren’t designed to be monogamous
- It’s just skin on skin– just sex baby
- Because they feel entitled/they can
At the end of the day, however, even if their spouse is intolerable at many levels, there are much better ways to address the issue.

1. Arboretum
The Arboretum is a vast open area that seems like a very thick woodland located a few kilometers from Nairobi CBD.
I believe it was built with lovebirds in mind, as the indigenous trees and gently sloping grounds provide a constant cool breeze, ideal for setting the mood.
The tranquil setting is perfect for a cozy nature picnic while watching the monkeys forage for food, in short its just a perfect place for a date in Nairobi.
It also has plenty of gravel-tracked meandering paths where you can take long scenic walks with your special someone. Tickets are KSH 50 for adults and KSH 20 for children.

2. Karura Forest
Karura Forest is a peaceful, romantic, and tranquil haven. As you walk beneath the canopies, the privacy and calmness is absolutely refreshing.
The harmonious chimes of the birds will make you feel as if they are part of your romantic story. All you need to do is bring your walking shoes, some snacks, and a hundred Kenyan shillings for the entrance fee.

6.   Nairobi Safari Walk
For only 300 bob per head, take your partner to see a sample of the country’s rich animal life, including the rare bongo, white rhino, albino zebra, as well as big cats, antelopes, and primates.
It is an excellent place to spend time together as you walk along a raised wooden boardwalk admiring the beautiful wildlife species.
7.   Ngong Hills

Other attractions within the compound include the Snake Park and Botanical Gardens and a State of the Art Auditorium that occasionally hosts concerts, film shows, and other events.

On December 21, 1966, he was born in the Kamagut district of Kenya’s Uasin Gishu county to Daniel and Sarah Cheruiyot. Ruto received his primary education at a Kamagut primary school before enrolling at Eldoret’s “Wareng Secondary School.” Ruto enrolled in the ‘Kapsabet High School’ in Nandi to pursue his A-level education after completing his O-level education.
Later, he joined the ‘University of Nairobi’, where he enrolled for a bachelor’s degree. He specialized in subjects such as Zoology and Botany, as a part of this course. - The coalition cabinet was finally formed in 2008 and William Ruto was elected as its Agricultural Minister.
